Access Privileges And Login Profiles
Access privileges refer to the permissions granted to a user to access and restrict different modules within NextGen Attendance Management Solutions Access privileges are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the system and data, as they help ensure that only authorized users can access information or perform critical operations.
Access privileges can be defined at various levels, including the super admin level, Admin level, Manager, Supervisor Level, and employee level.
Different Types of Access Levels
1:- Superadmin – A super admin has complete access to all modules and is responsible for initiating the integration process in the case of third-party integrations such as BambooHR or Intuit QuickBooks.
2:- Admin – A super admin can delegate access to subordinates via login profiles or access privileges that grant access to all modules.
3:- Manager / Supervisor – Admins and super admins can delegate access to subordinate managers, allowing them to access all or selective modules based on their needs.
4:- Employee -An employee’s default login access includes viewing his own timesheet and submitting a PTO request; these privileges can be modified as needed.
How to Create Access Privileges
Except for a super-admin, all employees were assigned default user/employee access during account setup; the rest of the access privileges must be defined as needed. Here are the steps to create login access.
1:- Job Title – Prior to creating login access, the job title/access privilege must be defined. In the case of BambooHR, the system will automatically pull the job title from BambooHR, which can then be used to define the login access in NextGen.
2:- Groups – Employees should be assigned to a group so that access privileges can be managed at the group level.

When employees log in, they get access to the parts of the app based on these login profiles and groups employees are assigned to.
